Rafayel Ghazaryan (BAB ‘21)

“AUA helped me return to a normal life after serving in the war,” said Rafayel Ghazaryan, (BAB ‘21). “I saw unimaginable things and lived in the worst conditions but I learned to appreciate what I have and overcome the difficulties in my life through my growth at AUA.”

Rafael, who was born and raised in Yerevan, was at the frontline during the Four-Day War. Upon his return, it took a lot of time and effort for him to adjust to life before his life-altering experiences in the military.

“Receiving a scholarship to complete my education was very important to me,” said Rafayel. “It helped me study with great enthusiasm and responsibility.”

He sees AUA as one big family, spending time with friends and instructors and taking advantage of all of AUA’s resources, including its expansive library.

“Because of its new generation, Armenia will have a bright future,” said Rafayel. “It will become a successful country with a developed economy and a people who have moral values.”
